The Massage Therapy at the Living Arts Institute is designed to serve a population who will benefit from the care giving of a licensed massage therapist.
Students in this program gain the essential skills in providing therapeutic massage The curriculum provides an opportunity to be a part of the growing number of people looking to incorporate a healthier lifestyle into their daily activities.
The graduate of this program is prepared for entry level employment in chiropractic or orthopedic offices, corporate settings, health clubs and health facilities, cruise ships, malls, spas, resorts and/or sports organizations. Once the individual becomes licensed as a massage therapist, many doors of opportunity open before them.

Massage therapists can specialize in many different types of massage, called modalities. Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, neuromuscular massage and reflexology are just a few of the many approaches to massage therapy offered at the Living Arts Institute.

Application
When can I begin school?
Most programs start every six weeks. Get a fast start, so you’re ready to head for the job market with minimum delay. Rewards count when you can finish your day program in about a year.
Are evening classes available?
Yes, the school offers both day and evening classes to accommodate the busiest of lives
How long will it take me to complete the program?
The normal completion of this program is 9 months for day students and 18 months for evening students.
How big are the classes?
Class size varies depending on the type of class being taught; but, usually limited to 16 students in laboratory environments and 30 students in lecture settings.
What does it cost?
There’s good news! Federal sponsored grant programs and varied loan programs are available for qualified students. A professional staff will help you gain access to a plan for preparing your time and budget. The goal … to make your education affordable.
What about accreditation?
The School is accredited by ACICS, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. This is an organization authorized by the US Department of Education to monitor the content and performance of schools nationwide.
National Certification: You must submit a copy of your official score report (showing a passing score) from one of the following exams: (a) NCETMB, (b) NCETM, (c) NCETMB – NESL option, (d) NCETM – NESL option (e) ABTE or (f) MBLEx and are a certificant in good standing with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), OR you have passed the Oriental Bodywork Therapy Comprehensive Written Examination (OBTE) and are a certificant in good standing with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Certifications MUST be current;
